Description

Mahogany longcase clock with 8 day movement by George Miles of Chipping Sodbury. Well engraved silvered brass dial. Typical features of a clock from the Bristol area, in particular the shape edge to the dial surround. Inlaid shell paterae to base, door and hood. circa 1790-1800.

Current Condition

Movement has been recently overhauled and is offered with guarantee. Case is in good 'untouched' order having its original surface and only minimal restoration. ie small sections of moulding.
