George III mahogany secretair bookcase. The top two drawers fall front as the secretair drawer to expose the interior, which comprises of seven satinwood drawers with battleaxe handles and eight pigeon holes above. (These are flanked by two satinwood doors with painted decoration.) Beneath the secretair drawer are three more drawers with gilded brass swan neck handles. The glazed bookcase top has three adjustable shelves. The bookcase stands on bracket feet and has a dental cornice. (Circa 1800) Height 232cm Width 127cm Depth 59cm
