Edwardian walnut astragal glazed book case ca 1900
This stylish antique Edwardian astragal glazed bookcase has a rectangular moulded top above a frieze with blind fretwork, three astragal glazed doors with key and working locks and stands on four cabriole legs with ball and claw feet with quality shell carving. Both interiors have three adjustable shelves and has the original backboards. The piece is a rich medium / dark walnut colour with striking grain, good patina, and is in good condition, which has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
