Victorian Mahogany double wardrobe / armoire ca 1890.
This stunning antique Victorian Mahogany double wardrobe / armoire has a moulded cornice above a deep frieze, it has two cupboard doors with raised fielded panels, later key escutcheons, key and working lock. The right hand interior has brass hooks above a fixed shelf and has four sliding linen trays. The left hand interior has a brass hanging rail and is deep enough for a modern coat hanger. The lower section has a moulded top above a deep mahogany lined drawer and stands on raised legs. This is a quality piece with it’s original mahogany backboards. The piece is a rich red mahogany colour with striking grain, good patina, and is in good condition, which has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing and splits into three for ease of removal.
