Early 19th Century Yew Wood Windsor Dining Chairs ( 1790 - 1845)

Description:   Matched set of eight low back English Windsor chairs. Two carvers and six without arms. Yew wood with elm seats.

Attibuted to the Prior Family from the Thames Valley area of England

Single ring turned legswith lower ring and straight feet, connected by crinoline stretcher
The legs are morticed through seat
Scribe line around edge of seats
Hoop with scribe edge line supporting three fretted splats with central roundel, alternating with two long spindles
The two carvers have curved shaped and flattened underarm supports morticed into the edge of the seat, and short fretted splats with central roundel
