Gillows Regency Flamed Mahogany Chiffonier ca 1830
This beautiful Regency flamed mahogany chiffonier is in the manner of Gillows. The piece has an angular shaped back above two tiers with beautiful turned reeded column supports. The lower section has a rectangular top above a deep frieze and two cupboard doors with central flamed mahogany panels, beautiful turned columns and key with working lock. The interior has one adjustable shelf and the base has a moulded lower edge with beautiful turned feet. The piece is of stunning quality, is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good original condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
