An Irish Mahogany Longcase Clock

Greys. Belfast.


The slim case stands at 87.5" (2.22m.) with a break arch hood.
The hood has reeded front chamfered corners with a matching moulding to the arch.
The 12 inch white dial surrounded by a well moulded bezel, and signed Greys , Belfast, has Roman numerals and a subsidiary seconds dial.. The hour , minute and seconds hands are of blued steel.
The trunk has a rectangular door with panels above and below, all with a good flame mahogany veneers . The front corners are reeded and chamfered and match those of the hood..
The base also has a good flame mahogany front panel and stands on fan shaped bracket .
The eight day movement rack strikes the hour on a bell, has a brass faced lenticular bob pendulum with wood rod and the weights are of cast iron.
