Description:   A fine and small Regency bracket clock by Rentzsch, watchmaker to the King, St James’ Square, London circa 1820. The clock is contained within a mahogany chamfered top case with brass inlay, fish-scale brass sound frets and carrying handles to the sides of the case and four brass ball
adjustable feet to the base. The 6-inch silvered brass dial has a strike silent option above 12 o’clock and is signed by the maker. The two train fusee movement has eight day duration with hour strike sounded on a bell. The backplate has peripheral engraving and the clock is complete
with an optional, later wall bracket.
