Description
A mid 19th century Victorian walnut easy chair with an adjustable back.
The chair has turned front legs with pottery and brass casters, the swept frame forms the back legs while the padded arm rests are supported by three turned spindles to each side and the back has four matching turned spindles. The back is adjustable by removing a pole that it rests on and moving it down to the next slot, there are four angles of adjustment.
The chair came with two original pads, one for the seat and one for the back, these have been recovered at some time and match the arm rests.
The chair is in good condition, the adjusting pole is a replacement and the material has some marks. (Circa 1860)
