Victorian Walnut Large Antique Bookcase/Glazed Dresser
This distinctive Victorian walnut large antique bookcase/glazed dresser, circa 1890, has a moulded cornice above two glazed doors with original handle fronting the interior which benefits from three adjustable shelves. The lower section of the antique bookcase has a rectangular moulded top above two cupboard doors with key and working lock and distinctive reeded panels. The interior has a single removable shelf.
The piece stands on a moulded plinth, has reeded side panels and benefits from the original back boards. It is a rich, warm, light to medium walnut with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
