A superb quality tortoiseshell and silver table stationery desk by William Comyns, the silver galleried top over a serpentine fronted fall inlaid with silver decoration, including a basket of fruit and trailing flowers, a shepherds crook and an oar, this opens to reveal a red silk lined interior for papers and envelopes, all supported on elaborate scrolled legs to bun feet.
