Gustave Bienvetu was born in Paris. He became a painter of genre scenes, still lifes and flowers.
He was taught by Jules Petit and Aumont for whom he worked as a studio assistant.
His exhibits at the Salon des Artistes Francais were flower pieces.
In 1906 Bienvetu received an Honourable mention.
He continued to exhibit at the Salon until 1914.
His work seldom comes on to the market.
