Description

A fine English George III Sheraton period satinwood & tulipwood banded Pembroke table, of excellent compact dimensions, constructed of the finest West Indian satinwood veneers and retaining fine colour & patina. The oval figured mahogany top cross-banded in tulipwood with ebonised moulded edge. Below the bow fronted frieze drawer with ring handles, chequer strung with ebony and bordered with oval ebony paterae. The legs of tapering square section strung with ebony and terminating in brass cap castors. A superb compact table with great figuring, colour and fine detailing throughout.

Current Condition

Excellent. The table has been cleaned and waxed, possible minor old restorations. The width dimension quoted is with flaps up.
