The moulded cornice with dental mouldings above satinwood inlaid frieze. Below a pair of doors with arched astragal glazing with radial fanning veneers to the door frame and inset bone escutcheons, open to reveal adjustable book shelves. The flamed mahogany panelled secretaire drawer opens to reveal an interior with an arrangement of ten satinwood banded drawers and an inset leather writing surface. Below a pair of oval panelled, satinwood inlaid and radial veneered doors open to reveal an arrangement of storage slides. The bookcase is supported on the original shaped bracket feet.
