Description

This is a nice slim stick barometer, dated c.1850.

The barometer has an arched top over a slim trunk with visible tube and hemispherical turned cistern cover.

The two-piece register plate is signed W.Johnson, 34 Hatton Garden, London with manual Vernier and mercurial thermometer.


Provenance

William Johnson was known to be working from this address in Hatton Garden between 1841-1867.
