Description
Child's rank badge with an applied bird - silver pheasant - for the fifth rank. The back badge is counted stitch using silk. It is a front opening badge from the front of a robe made for the daughter of the official. Children were not really allowed to reflect the rank of their father but as the Emperor's power waned then the status of the officials was important so ignored the Emperor and the Child's rank badge was adorned onto the robes.
