Description

A large English delft bowl, probably Bristol or London, the exterior decorated in blue and red with shaped reserves enclosing delicate flowering sprays alternating with diapering and circles containing mayflies; the interior is decorated in blue with flowers and foliage and stylised grasshoppers. Museum repairs to stabilise old cracks.
