LARGE DINING TABLE IN ASH

( 18th century) FRENCH

* * * * * *

Description

A really desirable large 18th century dining table, entirely made of figured ash, with all the qualities looked for in a good country refectory table - beauty of form, simple and sculptural design, plenty of space for ten adult diners, a wide top, and plenty of legroom for even the tallest person.

The rectangular top is of three thick, wide boards, and is supported on slim square-section legs joined by an "H" stretcher.

French, late 18th century.

NB: We have available two long elm benches which fit perfectly and look wonderful alongside this table.
