Description

Antique chinese porcelain brush washer made during the reign of the Qing Emperor Kangxi. Excellent modelling of a lotus flower and root with what is known as egg and spinach colouring or wucai / famille verte palette. This was made for the scholars table and is an excellent example of a small sized brushwasher made for the scholar's table.. The underside is expertly modelled to show th eveins of th eleaf an dis supported on 3 little pad feet. Rare item
