Description

A rare James II figured walnut minature table cabinet. The top laid with finely figured venner, with an end grain walnut moulding to the front and sides.
The doors with book matched veneers to each side, with a central closure moulding and cast brass lock escutcheons opening to reveal an interior with an arrangement of eight minature drawers, with original oxide interior coating.
A further end grain moulding to the base of the cabinet and turned bun feet complete a delicate and decorative piece.

Private residence in Shropshire.

Excellent. Possible minor old restorations, waxing. The bun feet are replacements.
