A fine George III figured mahogany double fusee bracket clock by Henry Hopkins, Deptford, London. The mahogany bell top mounted with a floral garland and a central column supported by gilt brass pierced fretwork, topped with a central flame finial and four further corner urn finials. Below gilt brass caryatid corner mounts and floral cast sound frets and to the sides a pair of circular and rectangular sounding apetures decorated with cast brass floral and cherub infils, the case supported on ornate gilt brass feet. The seven and a half inch break arch dial with floral and foliate scroll borders, Roman and Arabic chapter ring with strike/silent subsidiary dial to arch, the matted centre with calendar aperture, and recessed silvered signed cartouche. The five pillar double fusee movement with elaborate floral engraved back plate, original verge escapement, striking on a bell, with pull repeat on the hours.
