Description

A really lovely large fruitwood vendage, or wine-tasting table, able to seat eight people very comfortably, with a warmly patinated oval cherrywood top supported on large, shaped braces and a pivoting gate, over a trestle base in walnut. A vendage table of this size is not only a very sociable shape to dine at, but has become very hard to find.
French, mid 19th century.
