Description

A fine quality mahogany Gainsborough Armchair in the George II style, the back with serpentine shaped top above open arms with padded top and leaf carved swept uprights headed by srolled rosettes. The square seat supported on bold cabriole legs, front and back, the front two acanthus carved and ending in ball and claw feet.


Current Condition

Good condition. Re-upholstered in a traditional gold coloured cotton Damask by the 'Gainsborough Silk Weaving Co.'
