Antique William IV Chiffonier – Sideboard
This striking antique mahogany William IV chiffonier / sideboard ca 1835 has a rectangular moulded top above a deep shaped oak lined frieze drawer and two beautiful carved corners. The lower section has two cupboard doors with moulded edges, a brass slam strip, key and working lock. The interior has one fixed shelf. The sides have beautiful turned columns and the piece stands on turned bun feet. The top has two pegged holes (not very noticeable) and the chiffonier has original back boards , is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
