Description

An enamel, diamond, ruby and pearl brooch in the form of a dragonfly. The wings of shaded blue and pink enamel, the lower pair set with three round faceted rubies, the top and the tip of the wings set with rose-cut diamonds, the body set to centre with a bouton pearl above two rose-cut diamonds, with round brilliant-cut diamonds as eyes and antennae, the tail of shaded blue to green enamel, all mounted on yellow gold bearing the Russian marks for 18ct gold. Overall measurements approximately 60 x 65 mm, gross weight 15.6 grams, circa 1900.
