A late Victorian ruby and diamond brooch in the form of a butterfly, with the wings set en tremblant. Total diamond weight estimated 14 carats, total rubies weight estimated 12 carats, tested and valued as silver on 18ct yellow gold, gross weight 23.8 grams (see John Sheldon sale catalogue lot 375).
