Description

A superbly mounted Bearded Vulture or Lammergeier, artistically modelled amongst fine groundwork and painted backdrop. Displayed in a ebonised case with glass front, top and sides. These stylish cases are breathtaking with well executed taxidermy and are very sort after and collected.

The accession number P10/1922-3 from The Northampton Museum is painted on the rear of the case.

This Taxidermy has come from THE NORTHAMPTON MUSEUM COLLECTION OF TAXIDERMY. The Museum, unable to display all but a few cases for many years, has been deaccessioning some of it’s items to finance the conservation of other artefacts in their collection.
