A really lovely painted comb-back Windsor armchair, with shaped top rail over a "Country Chippendale" pierced Gothick vase-shaped splat, which is above the arm bow only, with plain spindles elsewhere, with the arm bow supported by curved splints, and with a subtly-shaped "saddle" seat, over simple stick legs. This unusual and charming chair is of ash and elm, with much early green paint remaining.
